My name is Katie Lyons and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and former Golf Professional. I combined both of my loves when I co-founded The Chicago Institute for Sport Psychiatry over twenty-five years ago. One thing they both have in common is the need for Mindfulness. I have taught Mindfulness to individuals and groups for over twenty-five years. I love customizing my talks to the audience.
I thoroughly enjoy helping my clients achieve their goals ... whatever they may be.
I have been a Psychotherapist for over thirty years in The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH). Working at a number one Major Medical Acedemic Center, has allowed me to continue to learn best practices, and keep up to date on the latest research. I have enjoyed teaching colleagues and trainees Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which is the only therapy based in Mindfulness.
As a certified Self-Development Coach, I have learned additional techniques and strategies to help clients reach the goals they value.
